Little Hand-Sized Unicorn: A Free Amigurumi Pattern
A Little Bit of Magic in the Palm of Your Hand
Hello, lovely crochet friend! Have you ever wanted to create something so tiny, so sweet, and so magical that it fits right in the palm of your hand? Today is your lucky day.
Meet the Little Hand-Sized Unicorn – a teeny-tiny amigurumi that works up in no time using soft, plush yarn. She is small, adorable, and full of personality! With her colorful mane, golden horn, and cute little hooves, she is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone who sees her.
Because she is so small and quick to make, this unicorn is perfect for last-minute gifts, party favors, stocking stuffers, or just because you need a little pick-me-up. You can even make a whole herd in different colors! The pattern uses very little yarn – less than half a skein of the main color and tiny scraps for the details.
So grab your hook, find your cozy corner, and let’s make a little rainbow magic together
Materials You’ll Need
- Plush yarn (main color): Himalaya Dolphin Baby or similar (less than ½ skein)
- Plush yarn (contrasting colors): Small amounts for legs, arms, mane, and tail
- Thinner cotton yarn (for the horn): YarnArt Jeans or similar
- Safety eyes: 8 mm
- Stuffing: Hollow fiber or polyfil
- Yarn needle: For sewing parts and shaping
- Thread to match (for sewing and eye shaping, optional)
Yarn note: The pattern uses two different yarn weights – plush (thick) for the body and limbs, and thinner cotton for the horn. This makes the horn delicate and pointed. Do not substitute plush yarn for the horn unless you use a very small hook
