Pattern – Part 2: Legs (Make 2)
Sole – Work in Black Yarn
Chain 8. Begin from the 2nd chain from the hook.

Switch from black to brown yarn. Fasten off black, weave in end.
Round 7: 46 back-loop relief sc (insert hook from the wrong side to the right side, across to the next stitch, catch the working yarn and draw through, complete the sc — see original photos for guidance)
At this stage, trace the sole shape onto your plastic insole material and cut it out for stability. Insert it into the sole.
Rounds 8–11: 46 sc – 4 rounds straight Round 12: 12 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) × 5, 12 sc [40] Round 13: 12 sc, dec, (1 sc, dec) × 5, 11 sc [34] Round 14: 12 sc, dec × 5, 12 sc [29]
Place your stitch marker at the start of the round — it should fall exactly at the center of the heel. Work any shift stitches if needed to realign.
Switch from brown to orange. Do not cut the brown yarn — leave it to the front of the work.
Round 15: Through back loops only: 4 sc, (2 sc, dec) × 5, 5 sc [24]
Now prepare the wire armature: cut a piece of floral wire approximately 25 cm long. Wrap it in electrical tape. Insert the armature into the leg piece and begin stuffing as you continue crocheting.
Round 16: 3 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) × 4, 3 sc [19] Round 17: 2 sc, (1 sc, dec) × 5, 2 sc [14] Round 18: 5 sc, dec × 2, 5 sc [12] Rounds 19–28: 12 sc – 10 rounds straight
Now return to the held brown yarn. Working into the front loops of Round 15, crochet 6 rows of 29 sc to form the boot cuff. Fasten off, weave in end.
Return to Round 28. Switch from orange to the main (gray) color. Fasten off orange.

Fasten off, secure, and weave in end. Make 2 legs total.
Pattern – Part 3: Body + Assembly
Work in the main color (light gray). Place your stitch marker at the back of the piece.
Chain 6. Begin from the 2nd chain from the hook.

Work 5 more sc (approximate), then place your marker.
Mark the attachment points on the legs:
- Left leg: count 9 sc to the RIGHT from the marked point
- Right leg: count 15 sc to the LEFT from the marked point
Round 4 – Joining the legs: Work 3 sc along the body / pick up the left leg and, starting from its marked point, work 6 sc through both the leg and body (inserting hook from the inside of the leg) / work 6 sc along the body / pick up the right leg and, starting from its marked point, work 6 sc through both the leg and body (inserting hook from the inside of the leg) / 3 sc along body [24]

Mark the wing attachment points: the 4th stitch and the 25th stitch, both counted to the LEFT.
Round 43 – Joining the wings: Work 3 sc along the body / pick up the left wing and, starting from its marked point, work 15 sc through both the wing and body (inserting hook from the OUTSIDE of the wing) / work 6 sc along the body / pick up the right wing and work 15 sc through both the wing and body / 3 sc along body [42]
Join the remaining wire and make sure it extends no more than 4 cm above the body. Trim any excess and wrap in electrical tape.

Select your 25 mm disc — its diameter should match the diameter of the neck opening.

Install the 25 mm disc with the 2×25 cotter pin.

Pull yarn through remaining stitches to close the opening. Weave end inside.
