  • 1.30 mm crochet hook (horns)
  • 6 mm safety eyes
  • Polyester stuffing
  • Tapestry needle

Abbreviations (US Terms)

  • MR: Magic ring
  • ch: Chain
  • sc: Single crochet
  • inc: Increase (2 sc in same stitch)
  • dec: Decrease (sc2tog)
  • w: 3 sc in same stitch
  • BLO: Back loop only

Step-by-Step Instructions

Head (White yarn)

  1. R1: 6 sc in MR
  2. R2: 6 inc = 12 sc
  3. R3: (1 sc, 1 inc)*6 = 18 sc
  4. R4: (2 sc, 1 inc)*6 = 24 sc
  5. R5: (3 sc, 1 inc)*6 = 30 sc
  6. R6-11: 30 sc
  7. R12: (3 sc, 1 dec)*6 = 24 sc
  8. R13: (2 sc, 1 dec)*6 = 18 sc
  9. R14: (1 sc, 1 dec)*6 = 12 sc
  10. R15: 6 dec in BLO = 6 sc
  11. Stuff firmly

Eyes (Make 2, Black yarn)

  1. R1: 6 sc in MR
  2. R2: 6 inc = 12 sc
  3. Attach between rounds 7-8 with 9 sc between them

Pencil Holder

  1. Continue from head in BLO with white yarn
  2. R1-9: 12 sc
  3. Switch to black yarn
  4. R10-12: 12 sc

Ears (Make 2)

  1. Base (Pink yarn):
    • R1: 5 sc in MR
    • R2: 5 inc = 10 sc
  2. Edging (White yarn):
    • R3: (1 sc, 1 inc)*3, 1 sc = 13 sc

Mouth (Pink yarn)

  1. Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch and next 3 ch
  2. 3 sc in last ch (w)
  3. Sc in next 3 ch, 1 inc

  5. R3: 18 sc

Horns (Light brown yarn)

  1. Using tripled yarn and 1.30 mm hook
  2. R1-2: 6 sc in MR
  3. Shape into small cones

Assembly

  1. Sew ears to top of head
  2. Attach mouth below eyes
  3. Add horns between ears
  4. Embroider nostrils and eyelashes
  5. Connect pencil holder to head
