Using beige yarn:

Back Legs (Make 2)
Start with boots in dark turquoise:

Stuff boot firmly.
Switch to sock pattern alternating white and yellow for 5 rounds.
Continue with beige yarn for leg portion. Stuff until round 29, leave top empty. Close opening
Front Legs (Make 2)
Using beige yarn:
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3-4: 12 sc (2 rounds)
R5: 4 sc, dec, 4 sc, dec (10)
R6: 10 sc
Switch to white yarn. Stuff bottom portion.
Switch to green yarn for sweater sleeves. Insert wire with loop at end for poseable legs
Ears (Make 2)
Using beige yarn (do not stuff):
R1: 4 sc in MR (4)
R2: (sc, inc) × 2 (6)
R3: (2 sc, inc) × 2 (8)
R4: (3 sc, inc) × 2 (10)
R5-6: 10 sc (2 rounds)
R7: (3 sc, dec) × 2 (8)
Fold sides together and stitch to shape
Antlers
Large Part (Make 2):
Follow decreasing pattern from 18 sc down to 8 sc. Insert wire and stuff. Leave tail for sewing.
Small Parts (Make 4):
Make small antler tips and attach to large parts approximately 2 stitches apart
Sweater
Start with collar:
Chain 16, work 35 rows of 15 sc in back loops only. Join into ring.
Body:
Work in rounds with color changes for stripe pattern. Follow increasing pattern similar to body, then work stripe pattern alternating green and white
Tail
Using beige yarn (do not stuff):
R1: 5 sc in MR (5)
R2: 5 sc (5)
R3: 5 inc (10)
R4: 10 sc
Fasten off, leaving tail for sewing
Assembly
- Dress moose in sweater
- Sew head to body using light beige yarn
- Attach front legs to sweater between rounds 1-2
- Sew antlers to top of head between rounds 2-5, approximately 4 stitches apart
- Attach ears beneath antlers
- Secure back legs using button-joint method – press empty leg portions against body and make double stitch through body
- Sew tail to center back between rounds 25-26 of body
- Embroider cheeks with pink yarn
- Embroider smile and eyebrows with dark turquoise yarn
Tips for Success
- Use stitch markers to keep track of rounds, especially on the head and body
- Stuff firmly but evenly to maintain shape
- When inserting wire, make sure to create a secure loop at the end to prevent poking through
- Take your time with assembly – pin all pieces in place before sewing to ensure perfect positioning
- The bobble stitches on the nose might feel tricky at first – practice on a scrap piece if needed
