Worry Wyrm Crochet Pattern

Worry Wyrm Crochet Pattern: A Cozy Little Dragon for Comfort and Joy

There’s something magical about tiny crochet creatures—they fit perfectly in your pocket, brighten someone’s day, and carry a little extra love wherever they go. Meet the Worry Wyrm, a whimsical dragon pattern designed by Thalia Evans

Inspired by the beloved Worry Worm concept, this pocket-sized dragon is here to soothe anxieties, spark smiles, and make the world a cozier place, one stitch at a time.

This pattern is perfect for beginners and seasoned crocheters alike. With simple stitches and minimal sewing (thanks to the clever continuous construction), you’ll have a charming dragon ready to gift or keep in no time.

The Worry Wyrm is ideal for:

  • Random Acts of Crochet Kindness (leave one on a park bench or give to a friend).
  • Self-care companions (tuck it in your bag for a comforting fidget toy).
  • Kid-friendly gifts (skip safety eyes and embroider them for little ones).

Finishing Touches

  1. Eyes: Embroider with thread or attach safety eyes/beads.
    • For embroidery: Knot thread under a nostril, pull through to the eye position, add a bead or stitch a loop, then repeat for the other eye. Hide ends inside the head.
  2. Fluff & Pose: Gently shape the limbs and wings.

Tips for Beginners

  • Popcorn Stitch: For horns, make 3 dc in one st, then pull the loop through the first dc to “pop” it.
  • Wings: Turning the work after each step keeps them from twisting.
  • Spiral Tail: Adjust the coils as you go for a neat curl.
