Ernie’s Nose (Do Not Stuff)
With Apricot yarn:
- Round 1: Start with a magic ring, 5sc (5 stitches)
- Round 2: 5inc (10 stitches)
- Round 3: 10sc (10 stitches)
- Round 4: 5dec (5 stitches), 1slst. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly: Sew the nose to the head between rows 15 and 17.
Ernie’s Hair
With Black yarn:
- Chain 6. Starting from the 2nd chain from the hook: 1inc, 3sc, 1W (3sc in the same stitch), 4sc (12 stitches), 1slst.
- Then, create loops: (Chain 5, starting from the 2nd chain from the hook; 4slst, make 1slst on the wig using the front loop only)*12.
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew or glue the hair onto Ernie’s head.
Ernie’s signature hair attached.
Ernie’s Ears (Make 2)
With Neon Yellow yarn:
- Start with a magic ring, 6hdc. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly: Sew the ears to the head between rows 13 and 15, leaving 21 single crochets between them.
Facial Details:
- Mouth: Using a needle and black thread, sew the mouth between rows 18 and 19.
- Eyebrow: Using a needle and black thread, sew the eyebrow between rows 10 and 11.
