Part 4: The Finishing Edging

  1. Attach your contrast color yarn with a sl st at the center back of the cap’s bottom edge.
  2. Work sl st evenly around the bottom edge of the cap until you reach the start of the brim.
  3. Ch 1. Now, work sc evenly along both sides and the front edge of the brim.
  4. When you meet the bottom edge of the cap again, switch back to sl st and work them around the remaining bottom edge until you meet your starting point.
  5. Join with a sl st and fasten off. Weave in all ends.

Optional: For a stretchier edging, you can work sc (instead of sl st) around the entire bottom edge of the cap as well as the brim.
