Pattern Instructions

Part 1: Crocheting the Motifs

(Make as many as needed for your chosen size—see chart below.)

All Motifs (Pink, Yellow, Blue, Green):

  1. Magic Ring: Start with 4 ch, join with sl st to form ring.
  2. Round 1: 12 dc into ring, join with sl st.
  3. Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 1 dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around (24 dc).
  4. Round 3: Ch 4 (counts as tr), [1 tr, ch 1] in same st, skip 1 st, [2 tr, ch 1] in next st around.
  5. Round 4: Long dc between Round 2 stitches, ch 1 around.

Half Motifs (for edges): Work half-circles by stopping mid-round and joining straight edges with sl st.

Part 2: Assembling the Blanket

  1. Layout: Arrange motifs as shown in the PDF’s charts (sofa/cradle/adult size).
  2. Joining: With right sides facing, use sl st through back loops only to connect motifs.
  3. Edging:
    • Join yarn at corner (colour #00105), ch 3.
    • Work tr and h-tr stitches around blanket:
      • Vertical sides: Repeat tr between points B–C.
      • Oblique sides: Work tr from C–D, then D–E.
      • Horizontal sides: Repeat tr between E–F.
    • Join with sl st to starting ch-3, weave in ends

Tips for Beginners

  • Weave Ends as You Go: Save time by securing yarn tails after each motif.
  • Blocking: Lightly steam or wet-block motifs before assembly for even sizing.
  • Color Play: Use a gradient or random layout for a unique look

Washing & Care

  • Hand wash in lukewarm water (max 30°C/86°F) with mild detergent.
  • Lay flat to dry—avoid wringing or tumble drying.
  • Iron gently with a damp cloth if needed

You’re Done!

Congratulations on your stunning handmade throw! 🎉 Drape it over your sofa, gift it to a friend, or curl up under your new cozy creation.
