Joining Legs for the Body

After completing the second leg, do not cut the yarn. We will now join the legs to form the base of the body. Continue stuffing the legs and body firmly as you go.

  1. From the second leg, chain 3. Skip a stitch on the first leg, then join with a single crochet to the first leg. Continue to single crochet around the first leg (18 sc), then crochet 3 sc along one side of the chain-3, then sc around the second leg (18 sc), and finally 3 sc along the other side of the chain-3. This creates a continuous round (42 sc total).

Eye Placement: Insert the 8mm safety eyes between rounds 16 and 17, leaving approximately 8 single crochets of separation between them. Secure the backs firmly.

Switch to Pink yarn to create the muzzle detail on the head. Continue stuffing firmly as you decrease.

Use Brown yarn for the horns. These should be very lightly stuffed, if at all, to keep them delicate.
