Materials You’ll Need

Pattern Instructions

Part 1: Legs & Body (Worked as one piece)

We start by making two legs separately and then join them to form the body. Use the smooth yarn (YarnArt Jeans) first.

Leg (Make 2):

  1. Foundation: Ch 6.
  2. Row 1: Starting in the second ch from the hook, work 4 sc. Work 3 sc into the last chain. Now, working along the other side of the starting chain, work 4 sc. (11 sts)
  3. Row 2: Work 4 sc. Make 3 inc (6 sc). Work 4 sc. (14 sts)
  4. Row 3 (Toes): Work 4 sc, 1 sl st.
    • (Work 3 dc into the next stitch, 1 sl st) into the next 3 stitches. This creates the three toes.
    • Work 3 sc. (14 sts)
  5. Carefully push out the “toes” so they are right-side out.
  6. Row 4: Sc in each stitch around. (14)
  7. Switch to the fluffy yarn (Alize Softy).
  8. Rnds 5-10: Sc in each stitch around for 6 rounds. (14)
  9. First Leg Only: Fasten off with a sl st, weave in the end.
  10. Second Leg Only: Do NOT fasten off. Work 6 more sc. Ch 1. Join with a sl st to the middle of the second leg (the sl st from Row 3). Make sure both legs are facing the same way.

Joining the Legs & Forming the Body:
11. The beginning of the round is at the back. With the fluffy yarn still attached, work 14 sc around the first leg. Work 1 sc into the chain-1 space. Work 14 sc around the second leg. Work 1 sc into the other side of the chain-1 space. Join. (30 sts) You are now working in continuous rounds.

  9. Second Arm: Stop 3 sc before the end of the round.
  10. Flatten the opening and sew it closed by working 6 sc through both layers to create a flat edge for attaching.

Part 5: Ears (Make 2 Ears, each with 2 parts)

Inner Ear (Smooth Yarn – White):

  1. Ch 9.
  2. Row 1: Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, work 8 hdc. Change to the main head color (e.g., beige). Ch 1, turn.
