Part 2: The Cups

The cups are worked directly onto the band. You will first work two increase rows across the entire band, then separate and work on each cup individually.

  1. Mark Center: With the Right Side facing, find and mark the center 2 stitches of your band.
  2. Row 1 (Both Cups): Join yarn for the right cup. Ch 1 (does not count as st). Sc 10 (12, 14), 2 sc in next st, sc 9 (11, 13), 2 sc in next st, sc 10 (12, 14). Repeat from * once more for the left cup. Turn. (66, 78, 90 sts total)
  3. Row 2 (Both Cups): Ch 1, turn. Sc 10 (12,14), 2 sc in next st, sc 11 (13,15), 2 sc in next st, sc 10 (12,14). Repeat from * once more. Turn. (70, 82, 94 sts total)

You will now work on the Right Cup only.
4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sk the first sc, sc in every st across. Turn. (34, 40, 46 sts)
5. Rows 4-13 (4-16 for Med, 4-19 for Large): Repeat Row 3. (You should have 24, 27, 30 sts at the end of these rows)
6. Next Rows (Shaping): Continue following the pattern for your size, which involves alternating decrease rows and plain sc rows. You will gradually decrease until only 1 stitch remains, then fasten off.
For Small: Follow Rows 14-18, then repeat Row 18 until 1 st remains.
For Medium/Large: Follow the numbered rows in the pattern (e.g., Row 17, 18, etc.) until 1 st remains.

  1. Left Cup: With the Wrong Side facing, re-join yarn to the right side of the left cup. Repeat all steps from Row 3 onward to complete the second cup.
