Legs (Make 2)

We make the legs one at a time. The second leg will connect directly to the body.

First Leg:

1. Rnd 1: Mc, 8 sc in circle. [8]
2. Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. [16]
3. Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 8 times. [24]
4. Rnd 4-7: Sc in each st around for 4 rounds. [24] per round.
5. Rnd 8: (1 sc, dec) repeat 8 times. [16]
6. 📌 Stuff the foot lightly now.
7. Rnd 9: Dec 8 times around. [8]
8. Rnd 10-24: Sc in each st around for 15 rounds. [8] per round. (This creates the long, unstuffed leg).
9. Rnd 25: (3 sc, inc) repeat 2 times. [10]
10. Rnd 26: (4 sc, inc) repeat 2 times. [12]
11. Rnd 27: (5 sc, inc) repeat 2 times. [14]
12. Rnd 28: (6 sc, inc) repeat 2 times. [16]

17. Fasten off, leaving a very long tail for sewing. You will use this to sew the gap between the legs later.

Second Leg:

1. Work exactly as the first leg from Rnd 1 to Rnd 32.
2. Do NOT fasten off. You will continue crocheting from this leg to form the body.

Body and Head

Now we connect the legs and build upwards!

1. With the second leg still on your hook, you will now work stitches around both leg openings to join them. You should have a total of 40 stitches (20 from each leg).
2. Rnd 1-3: Sc in each stitch around for 3 rounds. [40] per round.
3. Rnd 4: (9 sc, inc) repeat 4 times. [44]
4. Rnd 5-9: Sc in each stitch around for 5 rounds. [44] per round.
5. Rnd 10: (9 sc, dec) repeat 4 times. [40]
6. Rnd 11-12: Sc in each stitch around for 2 rounds. [40] per round.
7. Rnd 13: (8 sc, dec) repeat 4 times. [36]
8. Rnd 14: (7 sc, dec) repeat 4 times. [32]
9. Rnd 15: (6 sc, dec) repeat 4 times. [28]
10. Rnd 16: (5 sc, dec) repeat 4 times. [24]

21. 📌 Add the Safety Eye: Between Rnd 32 and 33, on the left side of the face, attach the 35mm safety eye. Secure it well.
22. 📌 Start stuffing the head firmly now. Continue stuffing as you work the final rounds.
23. Rnd 32: (8 sc, dec) repeat 4 times. [36]
24. Rnd 33: Sc in each stitch around. [36]
